Some questions:
On the download page there is the Castle Contrib. Has the Castle Contrib been updated to use the new RC3?
Also, are the samples all updated to use the RC3?
Lastly, does the installer include the Visual Studio integration as the last one did? Or is it part of Contrib now as a separate 'install' ?
Great work, I'm excited to get a chance to try it all out with the installer |

|
|
I uninstalled RC2 from my machine and installed RC3, but it appears that the Visual Studio Project Templates are no longer there, were these not included in RC3? If not, is there a place to download an updated VS project template for RC3?
Thanks. |

What do you mean? The wizards are no longer working? Can you download the msi again and give it a try? _________________ Cheers,

Seems .Net 1.1 is no longer supported, is it true? |

Got the file from a friend, so I hadn't visited the download page. Just searched in the readme files within the installation directory. |

Great work on the latest! I particularly like the improvements made to Castle.MonoRail.TestSupport.
Thanks again!

I notice that the download of 1.0 RC3 MSI includes the source for the WcfIntegration facility, but not the binary.
Is there a specific reason for this? Not considered stable etc.
If I have to compile the binary myself, should I use the code downloaded, or get the latest from the trunk?
Thanks. |

| Is there any news on schedule for GA? I see activity on the trunk but not much posted on the forums per a release schedule. Can someone provide an update?. |

Hi folks !
I don't want to be unpolitely, but overall since the last release (cand.3) is from 2007 (which is like in my last life) it look's like I took a dll for my application (which has been already abandoned by its fathers)
Please say, that it isn't so !
regards ! |

I'm using Castle RC3 in a production app. I know there's work going on as I can see the new daily builds, but I haven't felt any desperate urge to upgrade to a more recent build myself as I don't use a great deal of Castle's functionality. Since all the successful daily builds have passed a full set of regression tests, I would start any new project from the latest daily build (perhaps installing with the RC3 installer first?)
A GA release would be very fine - lots of feel-good factor for potential corporate users who might be put off by the team not feeling able to tag a build as GA, and it would be also a useful reference point for reporting bugs.
Perhaps completing the documentation might be a big stumbling block...
Do any committers have anything to say about all this? |
